Our centre is a non-profit organization that strives to provide enriching, safe, and nurturing care to children, and to provide support and offer our guidance and expertise to their parents.

We believe every child is a unique individual.

They should be respected regarding their rights and feelings. We believe children learn best through play and should be given many opportunities and age-appropriate materials throughout the day to learn and play at their own pace.

Our mission is to provide high quality childcare for local families focused on fostering a warm, safe environment for children to enjoy learning through play. We endeavour to provide an atmosphere that promotes growth, development, and learning for all children, and aim to provide ample opportunities for children to explore their curiosity and develop their interests. We also strive to help children navigate their own inter-personal conflicts and hone their sense of emotional intelligence.

Small Town Kids Daycare was founded in 2018 by 6 local individuals who saw a need for care and envisioned bringing childcare to the growing community of Rosenort and the surrounding areas.

Small Town Kids Daycare was incorporated on October 25th, 2018, and after many years of hard work was selected by the Province of Manitoba to run one of the first “Ready-to-Move Child Care Project” centres in 2023. Small Town Kids Daycare opened in December of 2023, and has been providing care for our local community since then.

We pride ourselves on our wonderful Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) and Childcare Assistants (CCAs), who provide individualized care for each of our children, including children who have additional support needs. Thank you for joining our journey, and we look forward to supporting your family.

We at Small Town Kids Daycare believe every child is a unique individual. They should be respected regarding their rights and feelings. Our focus will be on the development of the whole child, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

We accept and welcome children of all abilities. Our daily programs can be altered to meet the needs of each child. There will be opportunities for all children to participate in social free play and routines throughout the day. Each child deserves an environment and experiences that promote growth in all areas of their development. We welcome input from parents and guardians and encourage them to be a part of the decision-making process for their child. We will work with parents and professionals who have valuable knowledge and expertise to share.

Infant
Rooms

We have two infant rooms licensed for 8 infants each, for children aged 12 weeks to 2 years.

The Transition Room

Our transition room is licensed for 10 children: four infants with six toddlers, aged 18 months – 3 years.

The Preschool Rooms

We have three preschool rooms, licensed for 16 children each, ages 2-6.

Daycare Fees

Effective April 2, 2023, parents of children who are enrolled in infant, nursery and preschool programs will pay $10 a day per child for regular hours of care (4 to 10 hours) at Manitoba licensed child care facilities that receive operating grants (click here for more information). Our daycare fees are as follows:

Infants:
$10 per day
$15 per day for 10+ hrs

Preschool:
$10 per day
$15 per day for 10+ hrs
